Certified Agriculture Dealer Program Announces Interns for Summer ‘22

Westfield, N.C. (May 25, 2022) - The Certified Agriculture Dealer™ (CAD) Program announces the addition of two interns to the CAD marketing team. Devin Vitello and Caitlyn Muckensturm joined for the summer as of May 16, 2022.

“New team members are always an exciting time for us, and we look forward to working with Devin and Caitlyn for the next few months,” commented Pat Driscoll, president and CEO of the Certified Agricultural Dealers Program. “We have full confidence that the skills and experience these two bring to the table combined with the learning experiences we offer will be mutually beneficial. Especially since both expressed their interest in learning from everyone here on our team, from the dealers they will be working with, and the farmers and ranchers they will be helping to serve.”

Devin Vitello will be a sophomore at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, majoring in Food and Agriculture Business. Devin’s scope of work with CAD will include working with Troy Hadrick, industry relations manager and Jenni Wallace, vp of operations and dealer marketing, in crafting content for CAD’s social media activities.

Vitello’s hope is that through his work with CAD he will be able to bring awareness of the program to more farmers and ranchers across the nation. “I am most excited to get to know everyone in the company and see how this organization works,” Vitello noted. When not enhancing his social media and business skills, Devin’s hobbies include Aquaponics and gardening.  Although he still has a few years until graduation, he plans to start his own business afterwards.

“As we looked at several applications, Devin really stood out with his entrepreneurial spirit, working knowledge of several communication platforms and a desire to learn more about agriculture. I’m looking forward to what we can accomplish together over the next few months.” said Hadrick, CAD’s social media lead.

Also joining CAD for the summer is Caitlyn Muckensturm, a junior at Texas A&M University, double majoring in Agriculture Communications & Journalism and Agricultural Leadership & Development. Muckensturm’s scope of work with CAD will include working with Wallace to implement the dealer marketing packages that are part of their enrollment into the program, supporting in direct to farmer marketing as well as direct to dealer, while also utilizing her knowledge of SEO to take marketing to the next level.

“What excites me the most about being a part of the CAD team is the opportunity to learn from a diverse and experienced workplace team. I believe that this opportunity is one from which I can learn, and that is exactly what I was hoping for in my internship,” Muckensturm said. When not studying, Caitlyn’s hobbies include being a dog mom to her Corgi, Mariposa, trying to keep her indoor houseplant collection alive, and being a coffee (over)enthusiast.

“Muckensturm brings to the partnership a strong background in FFA at the local and state level. We are looking forward to leveraging her background to help us further expand our relationships with FFA, especially with fundraising and AgRally events at our 200+ Certified Agriculture Dealerships across the U.S.,” added Wallace.
